HOW MUCH DO HOT TUBS COST?

Hot tub prices can range anywhere from $3,000, to $16,000 or more. How much a hot tub costs can depend on several contributing factors, especially when in combination with one another, such as:

• Brand
• Model
• Age
• Location
• Features
• Size
• Capacity
• Materials

With higher-quality hot tubs, often comes a higher price point. In most cases, you get what you pay for, which is why cheaper hot tubs with a lower quality tend to not last as long, have more maintenance costs and repairs, and offer an experience that is often mediocre at best. Although a lower price point may seem like a great way to save money in the beginning, it can have many disadvantages in the long run.

HOW FAR AWAY SHOULD MY HOT TUB BE FROM THE HOUSE?

The placement of your hot tub and how far away it should be from the house depends on available reliable sources of electricity and water, the layout of your backyard, and your personal preferences. If the hot tub is not close to a source of electricity, you may need run an electrical output through the ground, meaning it may cost more to power it from afar. The placement of your hot tub can also depend on the current setup of your backyard. Features that are more permanent, such as decks, patio areas, swimming pools, flower gardens, water features, and gazebos, are generally not moved easily, meaning it will be more difficult to make way for a hot tub.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CHANGE THE WATER IN MY HOT TUB?

Aim to change the water in your hot tub about three to four times a year. During this time, make sure to drain the water, clean the interior of the hot tub, inspect all components, refill the tank, and then treat the water with water care products accordingly. If the water appears dirty or foamy, you may need to change the water sooner than originally expected or give it a good cleaning.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CHANGE THE FILTER IN MY HOT TUB?

You should completely replace your hot tub filter once a year. For regular and ongoing maintenance, you should rinse your hot tub filter twice a month with water from the hose and soak it overnight in a filter cleaning solution every two months.

CAN I USE A HOT TUB WHILE PREGNANT?

While there are certain stages of pregnancy where it can be safe to use a hot tub, it is much better to be on the safe side. Speak with your doctor before using a hot tub while pregnant to ensure your best health and development of your baby.

WHAT HOT TUB CHEMICALS ARE BEST?

The best hot tub chemicals for your spa can depend on the model you own. To determine which water care products are best, speak with your local hot tub store or the showroom where you originally purchased your hot tub from. You should collect and document this information during the initial sale, to ensure you’re using the right chemicals right from the start.

DOES MY OUTDOOR HOT TUB NEED ADDITIONAL PLUMBING INSTALLED?

You do not need to install additional plumbing for your above-ground hot tub. All above-ground portable spas are filled with water using a garden hose and drained manually. The filtration system integrated into the hot tub will circulate the water, regulate the temperature and distribute chemicals evenly.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TEST AND BALANCE MY HOT TUB WATER?

Test, treat and balance the water in your hot tub on a weekly basis. During this time, we recommend inspecting the system as a whole, checking for leaks and other irregularities that could lead to a bigger problem. If you notice that anything is amiss, schedule hot tub service right away.

WHAT IS THE MICROCLEAN® FILTRATION SYSTEM?

Built into most Sundance® Spas hot tubs, the MicroCLEAN® Filtration System can help to enhance the quality and safety of the water, while reducing maintenance efforts. To learn more about the benefits of the MicroCLEAN® Filtration system, get in touch with your local Sundance® Spas dealership.

WHAT IS HYDROTHERAPY?

Hydrotherapy is the combined effect of heat, massage, and buoyancy. The heat helps to relax your body, while the buoyancy of the water helps to lift pressure and weight from sore muscles and joints that need a well-deserved break. Once the body has reached peak relaxation, the massaging-action from the jets can target and penetrate areas of the body that carry tension and stress, easing tightness and improving flexibility simultaneously.

Benefits of hydrotherapy can include:
• Less stress and anxiety
• Better sleep patterns
• Fewer aches and pains
• Soothed joint pain
• Eased muscle tension
• Improved post-injury recovery
